“I see!” said the Blind Man

Jesus gave new sight…new spiritual eyes to blind Bartimaeus in Mark 10 vs 46-52.

This man was unemployed, desperate, sitting in the dust, dejected and hopeless until he hears the crowds approaching. The noise intensifies as Jesus draws near. As the crowds approached the voices intensify. This might be his only chance as Jesus is passing his way. So in desperation he shouts as loud as he can, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

The crowd rebukes him, calling him names., looking at him with utter disgust. But with renewed strength he will not be deterred. He takes a deeper breath and shouts out even louder, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Then Jesus stops and calls him. He staggers to his feet, throws his cloak aside, jumps to his feet and runs as fast as his old and tired legs will carry him. Jesus heals him, he in turn follows Him.

No longer begging, but working and serving his Lord, Master, Healer and Friend. He now sees Jesus clearly. We were all blinded by the devil until Jesus opened our eyes to His truth. The blind would see and those who thought they could see remain blinded spiritually.

Jesus is calling you. Do not procrastinate. Don’t wait any longer. Don’t let Jesus pass you by. Repent and confess your sins to Him. Then you can also say..”I was blind but now I see.”
