From War Dead to Peace and Life

This is that special time of year in which we honor and pay tribute to those special fallen brave heroes who gave their all for our freedoms. Freedoms that we often take for granted.

In the Spiritual realm Christians believe that they were once like the War Dead. Unbelievers without Christ are at War with God whether they realize it or not. There is no neutrality here. You are either for God or you are against Him. You are either His friend or His enemy. “For if when we were God’s enemies we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more having been reconciled shall we be saved through His life.” (Romans 5)

Not only was everyone once enemies of God, they were also Dead in their sins. It would be hopeless except for this little word BUT. “But because of His great love for us, God who is rich in mercy made us alive with Christ, even when we were dead in our sins.” (Ephesians 2 vs 4 & 8)

What an amazing exchange that can be, from being at War with God and enemies of the Cross to having Peace with God and Eternal Life.

How can it be? Repent, Confess, Believe and Trust in Christ. “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes on Him shall not perish but have Eternal Life.” (John 3:16)

How can we have peace with God?… By laying hold of the promise found in John 14 vs 27 “Peace I leave with you, my Peace I give you.” God’s Peace is not only eternal, so is the life He grants to all believers. How can one appropriate this truth? You simply acknowledge that you are a sinner and deserve death. But God has given His own Son as the free gift of Eternal Life for you. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is Eternal Life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6 vs 23)

Will you do what I am pleading and praying for? If you do, you will be transferred from the kingdom of War and Death to the kingdom of Peace and Life.

We will remember those brave soldiers who gave their lives for our freedoms. Infinitely greater do not forget God’s perfect and sinless Son who conquered Death by shedding His precious blood for all who sincerely come to Him in faith, believing His promises.

REMEMBER TO DO THIS NOW, LEST YOU FORGET.

Blessings In Christ,
